First impressions from the historic visit of the Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom to Cyprus
Chief Rabbi of the UK, Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, visited the Great Synagogue of Cyprus in Larnaca.
Together with the Chief Rabbi of Cyprus, Arie Zeev Raskin, he had visited the emerging Jewish Museum of Cyprus and met with local officials.
Back in 2003, on the establishment day of the Chief Rabbinate of Cyprus, a special representative of the Chief Rabbi of the UK was present.
However, this is the first time in history that the Chief Rabbi of the UK visits the Jewish Community of Cyprus.
